Due to Kooks minimum advertised price policies, we cannot list their headers for more than 10% off retail. We normally price our headers at 10% off, and then run free/discounted coating specials to help people save more beyond the regular 10% off. We found out some customers do not want coating but still want to save, so we made up the package with signifigant savings on uncoated headers and the popular Vararam intake.

Kooks Product Description-
These 304 stainless steel long tube headers are for the 2005-2007 LS2 Powered Chevrolet Corvette. Kooks builds all of their products to the highest standard, and these are possibly the best headers you can buy for your Vette. They feature 1 3/4" or 1 7/8" primaries, and 3" collectors with O2 Bugs welded into the collector. With a proper tune at a dyno shop, or SLPs Diablosport Tuner, these headers are good for 20-35HP depending on the vehicle.
To connect your new header system to your factory/aftermarket catback exhaust, you can also select either Kooks Catted X-Crossover System, which includes high flow metallic catalytic converters. With the X-Crossovers, you can also choose between 3" x 2.5" and 3" x 3" sizes. The 3" x 2.5" (6608S) X-pipe reduces from 3" to 2.5" in the middle of the X-pipe. The 3" x 3" (6609S) X-pipe is 3" all the way through until the very end where it necks to 2.5". Both connect to your factory axle back exhaust or any 2.5" aftermarket axleback.
Includes O2 Extenders, along with all bolts and gaskets needed for installation (2 stock O2 wires are reused during installation).
Which Header Size Should you Choose?
The 1 3/4" headers work are great for all but the most extreme applications. Unless you have nitrous, a supercharger or extreme internal engine work, you may actually see a decrease in performance with the 1 7/8" header due to lack of back pressure. Also please note that a professional tune is recommended to help your engine fully make use of the headers. |
