Conditions of Purchase, Shipping, and Returns |
All Buyers Purchasing from www.MarylandSpeed.com agree to the following terms-
General Disclaimers
- All products purchased from MarylandSpeed are installed at the buyers risk. MarylandSpeed is not responsible for the installation, or any damages or defects caused to your vehicle by the installation of products sold through this site.
- All Credit cards are authorized automatically when the order is submitted. If you decide to cancel an order, it can take 2-4 business days for this authorization to be lifted.
- All prices are subject to change without notice. While we strive to prevent pricing errors, we are not responsible for pricing mistakes, or website technical errors that effect product pricing. If there is a pricing error on the site the customer will be notified and given the chance to cancel the order or pay the difference in the correct price.
- We DO NOT accept phone orders for orders less than $150. All order under $75 in total value must be placed online through our website. We will still provide customers phone support regardless of if you purchase, or your purchase amount.
- Orders paid for with a check or money order will not be processed until payment is received and cleared (includes Paypal eChecks).
- All images, logos, and product descriptions are the property of their respective manufacturers. MarylandSpeed often checks these descriptions for correctness, however can not guarantee it.
- While we do carry an inventory of many items, some products MarylandSpeed sells are drop shipped directly from the manufacturer. This means that there can occasionally be shipping delays related to the suppliers processing and shipping system. We will notify you whenever possible of any delays caused by the manufacturer. However please remember this is not always 100% possible. If you ever have a question concerning your order and its delivery please contact us. We are glad to answer your questions! Custom/Special orders for header coating, Spintech Exhausts, and Stainlessworks products cannot be cancelled once they enter production. If they are able to be cancelled, they will be subject to a 15% restocking fee.
- Credit will not be issued for products purchased before a sale.
- All warranty issues involving a product purchased from MarylandSpeed are to be handled through the manufacturer.
- Any item damaged during installation may not be returned. If you return an item as defective, and the manufacturer determines that it was in fact damaged by the customer, no refund will be given, and the item will only be returned to the buyer at their cost!
- Maryland residents must add a 6% sales tax.
Gift Certificates
- Full face value of gift certificate must be used at time of purchase. No cash refunds, or cash redemption value will be given for gift certificates.
- MarylandSpeed is not responsible for lost or stolen gift certificates. After a gift certificate has been delivered, a replacement will not be issued.
- Please notify us within 14 days if your gift certificate has been lost and not delivered via your chosen form of delivery.
- Gift certificates expire and are forfeited 5 years after the issue date.
- Once gift certificate is redeemed online or over the phone, it is voided in our system and cannot be used again.
International Customers-
At this time we do not accept purchases from international customers, nor do we ship outside the United States.
Please do not order from our site unless you reside in the United States, and it is being delivered to a stateside address! Additionally, we do not ship to freight forwarding depots/boxes, or brokerages who will export the part after we send it.
Warranties and Emissions Laws
It is the buyers responsibility to ensure the parts they purchase comply with their manufacturers warranty, and all local emissions laws. MarylandSpeed WILL NOT be held liable for any
Shipping
- Standard shipping is either UPS Ground, Fed Ex Ground, or USPS First Class Mail (for decals). Smaller items are often upgraded for free to USPS First Class mail at our discretion.
- We do not ship to PO Boxes.
- Shipping costs for each item are flat rate, and stated in each product description on the website.
- Insurance is included in all shipping prices on the site.
- Any shipping shortages must be reported to MarylandSpeed within 7 days of delivery. It is strongly recommended you insure all products are received and in proper condition before before beginning installation. We do not overnight replacements for short shipped or damaged parts.
- Any shipping related damage must be reported to MarylandSpeed within 7 days of delivery. Customers must work with MarylandSpeed, and the carrier used to help verify the item was indeed damaged or lost in transit. A replacement item or refund will not be issued until the delivery carrier used investigates and verifies the shipping claim.
- Decal products are shipped via USPS First Class Mail. Please allow 4-10 business days for delivery. In the case of a lost decal order, please know that replacement decals will not be issued until the above timeframe has passed.
- Refusing a shipment will result in a 15% restocking fee and shipping costs will not be refuned. NO EXCEPTIONS!
Cancellations
- Once an order is placed, we attempt to process and ship it as soon as possible. While we attempt to honor all cancellation requests, this is not always possible due to the number of packages we ship, and various suppliers we use. Once an item on an order has been processed or labeled for shipment, it may not be able to be cancelled.
- If you try and cancel an order within 24 hours of when it would have shipped, we reserve the right to charge a 5% cancellation fee to recoup order processing and credit card fees.
- Once an item as shipped, it cannot be cancelled and becomes subject to the returns policy below.
- Refusing a shipment will result in a 15% restocking fee and shipping costs will not be refuned. NO EXCEPTIONS!
Refunds & Returns
At MarylandSpeed we strive to keep prices low. That being the case, we have a very detailed, and specific return policy designed to be convenient to the customer while keeping our administrative costs in line. While everyone hates restocking fees, they are the industry standard, and any non defective product that is returned will be subject to one. This covers any manufacturers restocking cost, and our cost of processing your order.
Non-Returnable Items-
Decals
Decals can not be returned for a refund. This is because most attempted returns for decals are due to the customer improperly following the install instructions. We stand by our product, and if the decals are installed wrong, or appear improperly cut, or we send you the wrong product, we will send out ONE replacement set. After that, no further product will be sent, nor refunds given. If you order an incorrect decal, and the order is not fixed before the decal supplier ships it, a correct replacement will be shipped once the mistakenly ordered decal is returned. All decals are bought under these terms. The cost of processing refund if often greater than the profit margin in the decals, making it simply not an option. Any decals returned to us in the mail without prior notice will be returned back to the customer, and no refund will be processed.
Any Headers and Exhaust Parts Coated by Jet Hot
Once your header is coated, it is yours, and not returnable for a refund. As a convenience to the customer, MarylandSpeed offers the ability to purchase headers, and then have them shipped directly to our coater Jet Hot, for immediate coating While this saves time and money, it does not allow the customer a chance to inspect the headers prior to coating. The coating, and the headers are two separate products each with their own warranty, and the customer must handle any defect issues with the responsible manufacturer. Jet Hot has a full lifetime warranty on their coating, so if you are unhappy with the coating, you must contact them to have the situation fixed. A header will not be replaced unless Jet Hot cannot fix the issue at hand without recoating it.
All other items purchased are subject to the below Return and Refund terms.
If The Item is Not Defective and You Want to Return it-
- You may return any product (except coated headers and decals) for any reason within 14 days of receipt. Returning a product that is not defective will however result in a 15% restocking fee. This restocking fee covers the various costs associated with processing your order. Also, and initial shipping charges will not be refunded.
- You must contact MarylandSpeed via email or phone to set up a return and receive an RGA Number. Any item sent to MarylandSpeed without first getting an RGA Number setting up the return beforehand will be rejected and returned to sender.
- Product must be in new, uninstalled condition, and return must be sent in original packaging.
- If the product is returned damaged by the customer, a refund will not be given, and the item will be returned to the customer at their cost.
- All non-defective returns must be returned to MarylandSpeed within 15 business days of the date the RGA Number was issued.
- Credits for returns normally post in at least one billing cycle.
If the Item is Defective and You Want to Return it-
- MarylandSpeed provides NO warranty on the items purchased through our site. All items are subject to the manufacturers warranty, which can be obtained at their respective websites, or by contacting them. All defective returns will be replaced according to the Manufacturers warranty.
- All Defective items must be returned in new, uninstalled condition. If you attempted to install the item and realized it is damaged, please contact us.
- MarylandSpeed will assist you in the return of a defective item for 14 days after delivery. After that time period, all returns for defective products must be handled directly with the manufacturer. An RGA number must be obtained from us prior to sending a return. On defective items, we will pick the item up, and return it at our cost.
- If MarylandSpeed sends UPS to pick up a defective item, and it is not given to the driver after 3 pick up attempts, then only want it can be retuned is at the buyers cost.
- Any item retuned without an RGA number will be returned to the customer.
- If the item is returned defective we will either have the item fixed, or replaced according to the manufacturers warranty.
- If the customer is unsatisfied or uncooperative with how the manufacturer offers to remedy the situation under their warranty terms, the item can be returned with a 15% restocking fee.
- If MarylandSpeed can not find a suitable replacement, a full refund will be given.
- If we receive an item that was obviously damaged by the customer, it will not be replaced, and will only be returned to the customer at their cost.
- Credits for returns normally post in at least one billing cycle.
