Once an order has been accepted, in stock orders cannot be cancelled. Special order items are not cancellable or returnable. This includes, but is not limited to, made to order exhausts components like Spintech and Stainlessworks products, DMH cutouts, Billet Catch Cans and coated headers or headers we normally do not stock. Once an item has shipped, it cannot be cancelled.
Refunds & Returns
At MarylandSpeed we strive to keep prices low. That being the case, we have a very detailed, and specific return policy designed to be convenient to the customer while allowing us to keep related losses to a minimum. While everyone hates restocking fees, they are the industry standard, and any non defective product that is returned will be subject to one. This covers any manufacturers restocking cost, and our cost of processing your order, and the cost of free shipping most items receive.
Decals can not be returned for a refund. This is because most attempted returns for decals are due to the customer improperly following the install instructions. We stand by our product, and if the decals are installed wrong, or appear improperly cut, or we send you the wrong product, we will send out ONE replacement set. After that, no further product will be sent, nor refunds given. If you order an incorrect decal, and the order is not fixed before the decal supplier ships it, a correct replacement will be shipped once the mistakenly ordered decal is returned. All decals are bought under these terms. The cost of processing refund if often greater than the profit margin in the decals, making it simply not an option. Any decals returned to us in the mail without prior notice will be returned back to the customer, and no refund will be processed.
Any Headers and Exhaust Parts that are Ceramic Coated
Once your header is coated, it is yours, and not returnable for a refund. As a convenience to the customer, MarylandSpeed offers the ability to purchase headers, and then have them shipped directly to our coater. While this saves time and money, it does not allow the customer a chance to inspect the headers prior to coating. The coating, and the headers are two separate products each with their own warranty, and the customer must handle any defect issues with the responsible manufacturer. Jet Hot has a full lifetime warranty on their coating, so if you are unhappy with the coating, you must contact them to have the situation fixed. A header will not be replaced unless Jet Hot cannot fix the issue at hand without recoating it.
Custom/ Made to order Exhausts, Gauges, Superchargers and Special Order Items
Anything we special order/make to order for you and is made to order is not returnable. This includes any exhaust with selectable options such as material, different H-pipes or X-pipes, tips sizes and so forth. It also includes special order headers that are stepped or over 2" in size. These items are not returnable, and any issue with the product is to be handled under the manufacturer's warranty. This also includes items such as Aeroforce gauges, where each gauge is assembled to your specifications. Superchargers also not returnable for any reason.
You can return any Diablosport Tuner to us within 30 days of delivery. If the tuner is defective, we will exchange it free of charge for a replacement. If the tuner is not defective, or defective, and you decided you don't want a free replacement, you will have to send it back at your cost, and pay 15% restocking fee. The tuner also must be received back in undamaged condition with the original, undamaged packaging.
Diablosport advertises a 30 day Money Back Guarantee in all of their marketing materials. This does not however state, or mean you get a full refund, as mail order companies need to recoupe shipping and order processing costs. After 30 days, all warranty claims are handled directly through Diablosport.
Once an Aeroforce gauges has been wired into a car, and attempted to be powered on, it is no longer returnable and all warranty issues are handled through Aeroforce. If you mistakenly order the wrong gauge, you must send you gauges back to Aeroforce to be reconfigured. You will also need to include a check for a reconfiguration fee of 15% of your purchase price, and $12.50 for return shipping and handling.
All other items purchased are subject to the below Return and Refund terms.
If The Item is Not Defective and You Want to Return it-
You may return any uninstalled product (except coated headers, special order iterms, and decals) for any reason within 21 days of receipt. Returning a product that is not defective will however result in a restocking fee (detailed below). This restocking fee covers the various costs associated with processing your order, manufacturer restocking fees we pay, and any discounted shipping we offer. Any shipping the customer paid is NOT refundable. Return shipping is customers responsibility.
All not defective returned items are subject to a 15% restocking fee minimum. The following lines are subject to a higher 25% restocking fee because the added costs of returns involved with these lines, such as restocking fees we are charged by manufacturers. BMR Suspension, UMI Suspension, Spohn Performance, Kooks Custom Headers, Stainless Works Exhaust, Borla Exhaust, JBA Exhaust, Dougs Coutouts, Spintech mufflers (their catbacks are made to order and not returnable), SSBC, Vortech Superchargers. Also any handheld tuner shipped with our free next day promotion that is returned, but not defective, may be subject to an additional $25 shipping cost charge on top of the restocking fee described above.
You must contact MarylandSpeed via the email form on our website to set up a return and receive an RMA Number. You will be sent a form to fill out and include with your return that contains instructions on how to return your item. Any item sent to MarylandSpeed without both an RMA form, AND RMA number will be refused and returned to sender.
Product must be in new, uninstalled condition, and return must be sent in original UNDAMAGED packaging. Please note specifically returns are not accepted on exhausts that are installed because the customer determines they do not like sound. Exhaust tone is subjective, and there is no way we can allow customers to try exhausts, and then return them for refund.
If the product is returned damaged by the customer, a refund will not be given, and the item will be refused, and returned to the customer at their cost.
All non-defective returns must be returned to MarylandSpeed within 15 business days of the date the RMA Number was issued. After that, the RMA number will be cancelled, and any further attempts to return the item will be refused.
All returns must be properly packaged and sent with proper insurance. Any returns received damages or obviously installed will be refused and returned to sender.
Credits for returns normally post in at least one billing cycle.
If the Item is Defective and You Want to Return it-
MarylandSpeed provides NO warranty on the items purchased through our site. All items are subject to the manufacturers warranty, which can be obtained at their respective websites, or by contacting them. All defective returns will be replaced according to the Manufacturers warranty. Within 21 days, MarylandSpeed may assist the customer in any warranty claim to a reasonable extent. After 21 days, the sale is final, and any warranty issues are handled between the manufacturer and the customer. MarylandSpeed also is not liable for any installation labor cost or parts/vehicle damage caused by defective parts.
All Defective items must be returned in new, uninstalled condition. If you attempted to install the item and realized it is damaged, please contact us. DO NOT KNOWINGLY INSTALL OR MODIFY A DEFEECTIVE PART!
In a situation where MarylandSpeed or a manufacturer sends UPS to pick up a defective item, if it is not given to shipping service after 3 pick up attempts, the customer will become responsible for return shipping.
Any item retuned without an RGA number will be returned to the customer.
If the item is returned defective we will either have the item fixed, or replaced according to the manufacturers warranty.
If the customer is unsatisfied or uncooperative with how the manufacturer offers to remedy the situation under their warranty terms, we may chose to treat it as a normal return subect to the restocking fees listed above.
Credits for returns normally post in at least one billing cycle.
Any item damaged during installation may not be returned. If you return an item as defective, and the manufacturer determines that it was in fact damaged by the customer, no refund will be given, and the item will only be returned to the buyer at their cost!
